At the same time Italy/Finland, 2

I'll go with english today~!

So, for another big difference between italian and finnish cultures is, oh yes, THE FOOD. We have two different lifestyles and because we both are humans (No. Really, both are humans. Mindf**k) we both ask the same question:

When do we eat?
What do we eat?
Why do we eat?
What's for dessert?

And the list continues. But how do these cultures part from each other?

BEFORE WE GO, I'd like to remind you, that these are based on my own point of view. Your life might be different and I belive that it is.

When do we eat?
Finland: It does not matter. Eat when ever you feel like it.
Italy: IT DOES MATTER! Don't you dare to be late from dinner! NEVER BE LATE FROM DINNER!

What do we eat? Breakfast
Finland: Big meal! You have to survive from the day! Now, eat this, this, this and oh yeah, that too. Can you survive to the midday? Good. Go.
Italy: Coffee, cookies and GO! GO! GO!

Lunch
Finland: The one you eat after school/workday. Lunch is kinda like the biggest meal of the day.
And at largest it consists first salad, then the warm meal and then dessert.
Italy: Lunch is kinda like the second biggest meal of the day. The one, where you might survive with salad/pizza/bread... You know. Something not so big, so you can be ready for...

Snacks
Finland: Bread! Yogurt! EVERYTHING! Mwaaahahaaa!
Italy: There are no snacks. Wait until...

DINNER/Supper (what ever you have):
Finland: Your dinner was lunch. It becomes dinner if the lunch goes too late. But, during work/schoolweek, you just take something small, like a bread and then you are almost ready for sleep.
Italy: Invite your family and friend, it's time to PARTY! I mean eat. You have been waiting for this all day, you have been waiting this for all your life! Dinner is everything. First somethign small (or skip this), then mayby soup or pasta, and then to the mainthing! What ever that is... And then mayby salad. And then dessert.
And after, you feel like you don't have to eat nothing for the next week.

Why do we eat?
Finland: Because we can not survive without eating.
Italy: Because it is the biggest thing in the life.

I've noticed, that in Finland, it is really kinda like: "Darn, are we eating again?" compered to Italy. In Italy, all you think about it eating. If you have a free day and nothing to do, you day consists two things: Waiting to eat and eating.
So, kinda like:
Finland: Lets eat to pass the time
Italy: Lets pass the time to eat.

And what is for dessert?
Finland: Coffee, pulla and GOGOGO!
Italy: Wait for it... Wait for it... Wait for it... Oh, one more meal! Wait for it... GELATOOOOO! Tiramisuuu! And... ARGH! PANETTONE!

So... What happens if I miss dinner?
Finland: Oh, that's nothing. Make a sandwich or something!
Italy: Literal hell. You just didn't respect the culture of Italy, or our family, or EVERYTHIIIING~!

Are there any other cultural differences?
Finland: When you start eating, take as much as you need. If you want more, take more. After you have finished eating, you are free to go. Thank for the food, mayby say if it was good (Specially if you liked it!) and Go.
Italy: What is putten on your plate, you must eat. Then, if you don't want more, you must take it anyway or fight for it. At the same time you are eating, please remember to say that you like the food. And if someone asks, start waving your hands and make up as many words to tell, that it is the best food you have ever eaten.
And leaving? No, you are not leaving when everyone else is not done. Wait for it... Wait for it... Wait... For.. It... Oh, you wanna go to sleep? What, it is only 00:16, you can't go to sleep, you have to wait for it... Wait... Wait... GO!

Do we have to eat?
Finland: No.
Italy: YES!

Again, these are based on my own experience and stereotypes. Do not kill me, for just wanting to point out the differences that I see.
